In Gurgaon, FIR against BMW driver for threatening, damaging car

Gurgaon: A BMW driver was named in an FIR for allegedly threatening a man, blocking his vehicle and repeatedly ramming into it near a residential society in the city on May 30.According to the complaint, the incident took place around 7.30am. The complainant, a resident of DLF Phase-1, alleged that the accused, Rohan Gupta, a resident of Palm Springs on Golf Course Road, approached him while he was driving and began verbally abusing and threatening him.The complainant alleged that the confrontation escalated when Gupta blocked his vehicle and intentionally rammed his car, a BMW, into it multiple times, causing damage. He further alleged that the accused threatened to kill him during the altercation.Police said the complainant informed them that the incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed within the society premises. During the preliminary inquiry, investigators visited the spot and examined the footage.Following verification of the complaint and examination of CCTV footage, police found prima facie evidence of offences under sections 281 (rash driving), 125 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 351(2) (criminal intimidation) and 126(2) (wrongful restraint) of BNS. An FIR was registered at Sector 53 police station on May 30.“We are trying to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident. Further details are being gathered and appropriate action will be taken as per the investigation,” an officer said.
