Implement HC order on HYDRAA chief, says BRS whip

Hyderabad: BRS whip and MLA KP Vivekanand said chief minister A Revanth Reddy should implement the Telangana high court’s order directing the removal of HYDRAA chief AV Ranganath, and demanded that the govt order an inquiry into the actions carried out by HYDRAA in the past two years.Speaking at a news conference, the MLA claimed that the high court order is a vindication of the BRS’ continued struggle in support of the poor. “Now, the chief minister has to decide whether he respects the rule of law or bulldozer law,” Vivekanand said, adding that the court’s ruling has made it clear that all institutions must function under the rule of law.“Since HYDRAA falls under the municipal administration department which is being handled by Revanth Reddy, the chief minister should resign like union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan did on moral grounds,” the MLA said. The MLA further announced that the BRS would scrap HYDRAA after coming to power.
