GURGAON: “I want to get on my bike again,” said Shivani Chauhan, known as Sia on social media, in a post on Saturday, days after she was allegedly hit by a Maruti Ciaz driven by Palwal resident Kalyan Bainsla while she was riding with her biker group on Golf Course Road.Chauhan, 27, said she was still recovering from the incident and undergoing multiple medical tests to rule out internal injuries.“Honestly, I’m still trying to process everything that happened. Some incidents don’t just end when they happen. I’m trying to heal, both mentally and physically, and slowly get back to myself. I’m still recovering and going through multiple medical tests to make sure there are no internal injuries,” she wrote in her Instagram post.Police have arrested Bainsla and Lavnish in connection with the case. The two were sent to 14-day judicial custody after two days of police custody.The Gurgaon police have also constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the incident. Sources said the biker was chased for around 2km before she was hit. Bainsla and the other occupants of the car had allegedly come from a nightclub on MG Road, sources said.Chauhan said she was allowing the investigation to take its course. “There are still several aspects of the investigation that are coming out. For now, I’m letting the legal process take its course,” she said.Recalling her desire to return to riding, Chauhan wrote, “I want to get back on my bike, I want to ride again, I want to feel that freedom again… I’m healing. I’m processing… And I’m taking it one day at a time.”She also thanked those who had supported her after the incident. “Thank you for standing strong with me. Your support has given me the strength to move forward,” she wrote.Addressing comments that she was using the incident to gain social media followers or views, Chauhan said that was not her intention.“And to everyone saying I’m doing this for followers or views — let me make this very clear. That was never the point,” she wrote, adding, “Riding is my passion. Creating content is simply how I share it. Followers and views were never what I was chasing.”
