HYDERABAD: A 55-year-old DRDO personal assistant died after a gym trainer allegedly punched him during a confrontation over claims that he had misbehaved with a 23-year-old woman at a residential building in Chikkadapally on Wednesday evening, police said on Thursday.The incident took place between 7.30pm and 8pm. The man, who lived on the first floor of the building, allegedly went to the woman’s house on the second floor and misbehaved with her, following which she raised an alarm, a police official said.The man allegedly fled after the woman raised the alarm. Some time later, a neighbour who works as a gym trainer noticed her crying and asked what had happened. She told him about the alleged misbehaviour, police said.The trainer and the woman then confronted the man, triggering an argument. During the confrontation, the trainer allegedly punched the 55-year-old in the face, causing him to fall to the floor and suffer a head injury.He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, the official said.Chikkadapally police registered two separate cases in connection with the incident. A case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder was registered against the gym trainer based on a complaint filed by the deceased man’s wife. A second case was registered against the deceased man based on the woman’s complaint over the alleged misbehaviour.Both cases are under investigation, police said.
