Hyderabad: Skyquad Electronics & Appliances, a joint venture between Hyderabad-based LCGC Resolute Group and a Taiwanese partner, has received approval under govt of India’s electronics component manufacturing scheme (ECMS) for manufacturing CCTV cameras as part of its larger production-linked incentives (PLI) initiative to boost Atmanirbhar Bharat.The clearance is expected to help Skyquad build advanced manufacturing capabilities and meet rising demand for high-quality, locally produced CCTV solutions. The project will support import substitution and deeper integration into India’s electronics component value chain, Skyquad said.The proposed CCTV facility, which marks Resolute Group’s expansion in the security and surveillance electronics segment, will come up with an investment of Rs 740 crore over the next five years and will house a dedicated R&D facility, camera module sub-assembly and SMT and FOL/EOL (front of line and end of line) operations.The ECMS approval letter was handed over to Raminder Singh Soin, chairman, Skyquad Electronics & Appliances Pvt Ltd, by minister of electronics and IT, railways, and information and broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi.Soin, who is also chairman of LCGC Resolute Group, termed the approval as an important milestone for Skyquad and India’s vision of becoming a global electronics manufacturing hub.
