New Delhi: City saw the highest minimum temperature in four years, even as the weather department had issued a yellow alert for hot and humid conditions.According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the heat index was 50.4 degree Celsius with actual temperature 38.4 degree Celsius at 2.30pm.On Friday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 31 degree Celsius. This was the highest minimum temperature since July 1, 2021 when the temperature settled at 31.7 degree Celsius.Rain remained elusive for the seventh day at base station, with Met expecting light to very light rain showers Saturday and Sunday, accompanied with gusty winds. Last time city recorded rain was on July 10 at 33.6mm rainfall.The air quality meanwhile remained moderate with an AQI of 177 against 176 a day earlier.
