Hyderabad: Telangana high court on Friday directed police to grant permission to the BRS’ meeting, Yuva Sangrama Sadassu, to be held at Saroor Nagar Indoor Stadium at Saroor Nagar on Saturday. Justice T Madhavi Devi passed the directions while hearing a lunch motion moved by the BRS party, which approached the High Court after police denied permission to the meeting.Justice Madhavi Devi further directed the police to ensure that there is no blockage on the abutting national highway during the meeting, no traffic snarls and also that no law and order issues arise in view of the meeting.The petition was filed by Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, former MLA, Ibrahimpatnam, alleging that police denied permission to their proposed meeting, which was being planned with around 4,000 party workers.Kishan Reddy alleged that their representations to the district collector and Malkajgiri police commissioner for the meeting remained unresponsive, forcing them to approach the court.
