Kullu: A 26-year-old Haryana youth was killed and four others seriously injured after their car crashed into two parked trucks and a passing tempo on the Kiratpur-Manali four-lane highway near Alsu Chowk in Mandi’s Sundernagar on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Akash, a resident of Jhajjar district in Haryana.According to police, the Haryana-registered car went out of control near Alsu Chowk, first crashing into the two trucks parked along the roadside and then colliding with a tempo. The accident took place at around 12.30 am.The impact left the car badly damaged, trapping the occupants inside. Local residents rushed to the spot and helped take out the injured. Akash was declared dead by doctors at a local govt hospital, while Vivek, Sachin, Parveen and Piyush, all residents of Rewari district, were referred to AIIMS Bilaspur after initial treatment.
