Chandigarh: BJP govt in Haryana is stepping up its Gen-Z outreach, with chief minister Nayab Singh Saini set to hold a direct interaction with young entrepreneurs on Aug 21 and the state launching a ‘Yuva Udyami Yatra’ across all districts to promote entrepreneurship among students.Saini will interact with youngsters at Gurugram University, where six “master classrooms” will train groups of 50 participants each on starting and scaling ventures, raising funds and securing technical support. Those completing the training will receive certificates and be linked with MSMEs for hands-on exposure. The CM will also flag off two buses under the ‘Yuva Udyami Yatra’, which will travel across the state until December, visiting colleges, universities, ITIs, coaching institutes and other educational institutions to spread awareness about entrepreneurship and help students develop startup ideas.A dedicated Startup Room at the Gurugram event will bring together around 60 successful entrepreneurs to mentor aspiring founders. Banks will provide information on loans and financial assistance, while experts from the state Skill University will offer technical guidance.Saini, who reviewed preparations on Wednesday, said the interaction would be informal and focused on direct engagement with youth. “The coming era belongs to new technology, innovation and new thinking,” he said.Officials have been directed to finalise routes for the yatra, inform institutions about the visits and register youngsters benefiting from the initiative. Exhibitions and bank stalls will also be organised to provide information on funding and other support.A major Gen-Z programme will be held in December to mark the conclusion of the yatra, bringing together youngsters who benefited from the statewide outreach. The initiative is being jointly organised by the Higher Education, Skill Development and Industrial Training, and Industries and Commerce departments.
