Local body bypoll results todayTNNGandhinagar: State election commission (SEC) said on Wednesday that counting of votes for 13 seats of municipal corporations, municipalities, district panchayats and taluka panchayats will be taken up on Thursday. The SEC statement said that bypolls for 13 seats of various local bodies was held on July 27 and while the bypoll in Poshina taluka panchayat had the highest voter turnout of 81.3%, the lowest was in Visnagar municipality at 36.1%.Weather Watch group meeting heldTNNGandhinagar: A meeting of the weather watch group was held in Gandhinagar on Wednesday. An official statement said that eight districts — Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi and Dang are expected to receive very heavy rainfall on July 31. Relief commissioner Gaurang Makwana asked officials of energy, roads and buildings, urban development and other departments to remain on high alert.
