Ahmedabad: Even after the completion of admissions for Class X pass students seeking diploma engineering courses, 3,462 seats remain vacant in govt colleges across Gujarat. Following the All India Council for Technical Education’s (AICTE) decision to extend the admission deadline, the Admission Committee for Professional Diploma Courses (ACPDC) has announced a fresh admission round to fill the vacant seats.So far, 399 students have registered for the new round. The committee has also directed students who have already secured admission to submit their online consent between Sept 1 and 3 if they wish to participate in the fresh round.The merit list for the round will be published on Aug 31, while seat allotment is scheduled for Sep 7. Students allotted seats will have to pay the prescribed fees and confirm their admissions between Sep 7 and 9. Details of the seats remaining vacant after the round will be released on Sep 11.
