Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has declared the Class 10 results, with Ahmedabad city and rural areas showing nearly unchanged performance from last year. Ahmedabad city recorded a pass percentage of 79.99, slightly up from 79.95 per cent last year. Of the 47,483 students who registered, 46,667 appeared for the exam.Among the successful candidates, 1,755 students secured A-1 grade, 6,021 got A-2, 7,561 received B-1, 8,326 scored B-2, 8,270 were placed in C-1, 4,967 in C-2, and 431 in D grade. No student was placed in the E-1 category.The number of A-1 grade students in the city rose by 377 compared to last year. Ahmedabad rural performed better than the city with a pass percentage of 82.52 per cent, though it was marginally lower than last year’s 82.58 per cent.Out of 39,846 registered students, 39,361 appeared for the exam. In rural Ahmedabad, 1,780 students secured A-1 grade, 5,035 got A-2, 6,430 received B-1, 7,178 scored B-2, 7,318 were placed in C-1, 4,385 in C-2, and 355 in D grade. Together, Ahmedabad city and rural areas recorded 3,535 students in the A-1 grade category this year, up from 2,807 last year, marking an increase of 728 students.
