Jaipur: Promoting the message of fitness, cleanliness, and environmental conservation, the ‘Aadhar Prime GreenFit Half Marathon-Season 3’ will be held here on Sept 27.On Monday, a poster, medal and T-shirt launch ceremony was held. Virendra Singh, founder of GreenFit Foundation, said that the flag-off of the marathon will be from Sun and Moon Complex in Vidhyadhar Nagar at 5.30am on Sunday. Jaipur Municipal Corporation is playing a key role in this year’s Aadhar Prime GreenFit Half marathon, which is being organised by GreenFit Foundation, powered by Khandelwal Heart Institute, and co-powered by GCLDreams.Held under the theme ‘Run for a Greener Earth,’ the marathon has already received over 8,500 registrations, with an expected turnout of more than 10,000 runners. Rajasthan’s deputy chief minister Diya Kumari is likely to attend as chief guest, while Jaipur MP Manju Sharma will be guest of honour. Senior military officer from the North-Western Command P S Shekhawat, mentor Ajay Agarwal, race director (Retd Lt Col) Vijaypal Singh, and the event’s face, Rajesh Chaudhary, will also participate at the event.Categories for participants include a 21-km timed half marathon, 10-km and 5-km timed runs, and a 3-km fun run. A total prize purse exceeding Rs 2.55 lakh has been allocated for winners across the various categories. In addition to professional runners, the event will also see participation from army personnel, corporate teams, students, women, children, senior citizens, and the running community.

To ensure smooth operations, a team comprising over 400 volunteers, along with medical teams, physiotherapists, route marshals, and hydration teams, are being deployed. Water, energy drinks, and medical assistance will be available along the entire route.The marathon will be organized as a three-day fitness festival, featuring a bib expo, distribution of running kits, and partner activation activities starting Sept 25 and 26. Participants will be provided with essential items, including a T-shirt, bib, and timing chip.According to Virendra Singh, the objective of the GreenFit Marathon is to raise awareness among people about adopting a healthy lifestyle and striving for a clean and green future. The Jaipur Municipal Corporation will collaborate to ensure cleanliness at the event venue and along the marathon route, and participants will take a collective pledge regarding health, hygiene, and environmental conservation.The inaugural season of the GreenFit Marathon took place in 2024 with approximately 3,000 participants, while the second season in 2025 saw the participation of over 5,000 people. With increased participation this year, the event is aligned with the message: “Healthy India, Green India, Clean India-A People’s Movement.”
