Kolkata: Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya on Thursday said the state govt will replace the “law of the ruler” with “rule of law” in the state, marking the end of “jungle raaj” in Bengal. Bhattacharya said that the political culture of violence has to be stopped “at any cost”.“We want to bring the state out of the ‘eye for an eye’ culture. After May 2, 2021, 27 BJP workers were murdered in 56 days. A total of 27 women alleged that they were raped by Trinamool’s goons. Police refused to lodge FIRs against their complaints. There was a law of the ruler then. The rule of law was established after the BJP formed the govt in the state,” said Bhattacharya.“The party is also working to tackle emerging troubles. We have to be a little patient. The political culture of Bengal has to be changed at any cost. Otherwise, the state will be ruined. Investors, who had moved away from Bengal, are now trying to come back,” he said.Meanwhile, Bengal BJP netas are worried over reports of musclemen trying to take over auto unions and markets, posing as BJP workers.
