Golf cart service for KVT to begin tomorrow
25 golf carts will be operated from different location

Varanasi: The UP govt is set to launch a golf cart service for devotees of Lord Shiva in city. These golf carts will be operated to reach Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Common and VIP visitors alike will be able to use these golf carts to reach the temple. The service is planned to be launched on April 19, on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, from several locations, including Raj Narayan Park (Beniyabagh) and Maidagin.Municipal commissioner Himanshu Nagpal said that eco-friendly electric golf cart services are being introduced from Maidagin, Raj Narayan Park and Kabir Chaura to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple gate no. 4. Initially, around 25 golf carts will be operated, with the number likely to be increased later. Passengers will be required to pay a fixed fare for this service. After parking their vehicles at the modern parking facilities at Town Hall in Maidagin and Raj Narayan Park (Beniyabagh), visitors will be able to travel to Vishwanath Dham by golf cart.This step was taken with a view to passenger convenience and environmental conservation.The municipal commissioner added that the service will operate from 3am to 11pm. The golf carts are of two types — one cart has a seating capacity of six passengers, while the other can accommodate nine passengers. Plans are also in place to extend the service from additional locations in the future.
