Panaji: After the first round of registrations for degree college admissions across Goa, the directorate of higher education (DHE) will release the merit list on April 22.Counselling and admissions will begin from Thursday, officials said.A total of 12,533 applicants registered in the first round through the samarth e-governance portal.“The merit lists that will be put out after the counselling concludes cover courses including BA, BCom, BSc, BSc (biotechnology), BSc (sports science), BSc (agriculture), BBA, BCA, and all self-financed courses. The counselling and admission process will commence from April 23 onwards,” said DHE official Mahadev Gawas.Shortlisted candidates must report to allotted colleges with original documents, complete verification, and pay the prescribed fees to confirm admission, he said.“In a student-friendly move, the directorate has permitted candidates to switch either their college or programme, subject to availability and within the stipulated admission schedule.“Importantly, students who are simultaneously aspiring for engineering or medical programmes, whose entrance results or counselling processes are still pending, have been encouraged to secure an undergraduate seat in the interim,” Gawas said.He added that students will be eligible for a full refund if they withdraw admission before the final date for the 2026-27 academic year as notified by the directorate.
