Hisar: Six individuals arrested in connection with the violent INSO protest at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology were granted bail by a Hisar court on Saturday. According to police, eight persons were named in the case registered at City Police Station, including JJP youth leader Digvijay Singh Chautala and INSO state president Deepak Malik. In the case, police arrested Jitendra Sheoran, Vijendra, Gaurav, Tarun Goyal, Deepak and Ravindra Kumar alias Ravi Ahuja and produced them in court on Friday, where they were remanded to judicial custody. During the hearing on Saturday, the court granted bail to all six accused. On a complaint filed by the university’s proctor Anil Kumar, police registered a case against Digvijay Singh Chautala, Harinder Beniwal, Harikesh Dhanda, Jitendra Sheoran, Ajju Ghanghas, Ashish Kundu, Deepak Malik, Rohit Soni and others under various serious charges.The complaint alleged that the accused forcibly entered the university campus around 12:15 pm on Thursday, disrupted the academic environment and created a ruckus at the Vice Chancellor’s office. They allegedly caused damage to govt property and even attempted to break the main gate of the VC office, creating panic among staff. In protest against the arrests, former deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, along with Digvijay Singh Chautala and party workers, reached the Hisar City Police Station on Friday, demanding arrest them or the release of the arrested youths.
