Gorakhpur: Darshan Devi, mother of Gita Press trustee Devi Dayal Agarwal, passed away on Wednesday morning at around 5 am after a prolonged illness. She was 92 years old.The funeral procession commenced from the family’s residence in Gorakhpur at about 9.30 am with traditional rituals.Family members and relatives left for Varanasi with the mortal remains, where the last rites will be performed at Harishchandra Ghat.Relatives, well-wishers, businessmen and members of the Gita Press family visited the Agarwal residence to offer their condolences.Darshan Devi was widely respected within her family and community. Mourners prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the family to bear the loss.
