Lucknow: A comedy play titled ‘Ghar Ki Murgi’, with a message that what is easily available is often undervalued was staged at Rai Umanath Bali auditorium on Thursday.The play revolves around Ramji, a prosperous businessman, who belittles his wife Sarita, an educated but simple homemaker, regularly.His attitude takes a sharp turn when Mona, a stylish young woman, joins his office as his secretary. He is drawn to her modern appearance and starts spending time with her. However, Sarita’s college friends, Prakash and Kitty, somehow come to know about this, and expose Ramji who is compelled to recognise the worth of the wife.It was written by Ram Kishore Nag ‘Nagmani’ and directed by Sarita Kapoor.“Through humour and satire, the play reminds audiences that taking loved ones for granted can turn relationships into ridicule, while respect restores their true value,” said, Sarita.It was organised by Bimb Cultural Society with the support from UP Culture Department and Culture department, New Delhi.
