Garbage lifted once in 3 days, residents complain
Waste piles up in Garima Vihar Sector 35, Noida

Noida: Residents of several sectors, including 26, 35, 100, 51 and 12, have complained of irregular garbage collection, with waste piling up and creating sanitation and health concerns. In Sector 26, residents of A Block said garbage had not been collected from several homes for days. Govind Sharma, president of the Resident Welfare Association, said complaints about uncollected waste had become a daily occurrence.“Receiving reports of uncollected garbage has become a daily occurrence for the residents of our sector. Is this ‘Green Noida, Clean Noida?’ The residents deserve better services. How did Noida receive the President’s award for clean Noida? This needs to be inspected,” Sharma said.In Sector 35, residents of Garima Vihar formally approached the Noida Authority on Wednesday, alleging that the garbage collection agency was lifting waste only once every two to three days.DK Kharbanda, president of the Garima Vihar RWA, said the colony has 128 residential flats and residents regularly leave waste at designated collection points. However, irregular collection has resulted in waste piling up, particularly during the rainy season, causing foul odours and attracting insects and stray animals.“Residents are concerned about public hygiene. The situation needs immediate attention to ensure a clean-living environment,” Kharbanda said, calling for daily collection and disposal.Similar complaints have been received from other sectors, pointing to wider concerns over waste management in the city.Noida Authority officials said recent showers had caused delays in garbage collection and that the system would resume normalcy soon.
