Gurgaon: Four rounds were fired during a clash between two groups in a lane in Sanjay Colony Thursday over the installation of a weighing scale for rebar. Police said that while no one suffered bullet injuries, some people sustained injuries in the physical altercation.Cops from Sanjay Colony police post arrested two accused, identified as Manoj Bhati and his son Bhavishya Bhati, in connection with the incident.An investigator said that three people have been named in the FIR, besides 8-10 others whose identities and roles are being investigated.According to police, the incident took place after Manoj Bhati, who had rented a shop on Saran Road, began installing a weighing scale in the lane. Residents objected to the installation, leading to an argument and later a clash.A police officer said an ERV alerted cops at Sanjay Colony police post about the fight on Sept 24, following which a police team reached the spot. Vijaypal, a resident of the area, submitted a complaint against Manoj Bhati and others.The complaint states that after the dispute, Manoj Bhati called his son Bhavishya Bhati, Kamal and 8-10 other youths to the spot. Police said Bhavishya allegedly opened fire with a pistol, while others allegedly assaulted people in the lane and damaged three-four vehicles parked there.ASI Ashok, investigating officer in the case, confirmed that four rounds were fired during the incident. “No person suffered a gunshot injury, though there were injuries sustained during the fight. Four rounds were fired,” ASI said.The residents had alleged that a larger group of armed men had been called from outside and that some of them were carrying sticks and other weapons. Police said CCTV footage from the area was being examined and action would be taken on the basis of evidence emerging from the investigation.Police said the two arrested accused will be produced before the court Saturday, after which further legal action will be taken.An FIR has been registered at Mujesar police station under relevant sections of Arms Act and under several sections of BNS.
