Four members of businessman’s family found dead at home in Nalgonda

Hyderabad: The decomposed bodies of a couple and their two children were found at their house in Nalgonda town on Monday night. Police have registered a suspicious death case and shifted the bodies for post-mortem examination.Around 7pm on Monday, Nalgonda 1 Town police received an alert from locals at Telangana Colony about foul smell emanating from the house of businessman Md Sultan.As the main door of the house was locked, police broke it and found the decomposed bodies of Sultan, 45, his wife, Haseena, 40, and their two children, Muzammil, 20, and Afsara, 11, on the floor.Based on the condition of the bodies and the preliminary enquiry with neighbours, police suspect that the deaths might have occurred about four days ago. Sultan runs a bags business in Prakasam Bazar area of Nalgonda and his wife teaches at a local private school. Their children were students. “We have shifted the bodies for post-mortem examination and only after the report comes will we be able to say the cause of death,” Nalgonda SP Sharat Chandra Pawar said.Some neighbours told police that four days ago they heard loud noises from the house. Police were trying to ascertain if it was a case of murder or a suicide pact. Forensic teams collected evidence from the crime scene. A case was registered under Section 194 (suspicious death) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
