Times News NetworkPanaji: North Goa district collector Ankit Yadav held a meeting on Tuesday to review and finalise arrangements for the NEET re-exam on June 21. Yadav instructed all examination centres to ensure sufficient infrastructure, including uninterrupted power supply and CCTV surveillance.He underlined the need for a smooth experience for candidates. Officials were directed to ensure proper traffic management around centres and to support candidates with disabilities and special needs. The KTC was told to arrange special buses for candidates and to publicise the service in advance.Yadav reiterated that the guidelines and standard operating procedures laid down by the National Testing Agency (NTA) must be followed strictly.North Goa’s District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) meeting was held under Yadav’s chairmanship. He directed deputy collectors, mamlatdars, centre supervisors, and departments, including police, education, higher education, power, IT, KTC, and others, to ensure the NEET re-exam is conducted smoothly, fairly and securely across the district.A detailed assessment of readiness at all centres was carried out. Yadav asked centres to ensure adequate drinking water, sanitation facilities and appropriate seating arrangements for candidates.Security preparations were also reviewed, covering police deployment, secure handling of confidential examination materials, frisking procedures, biometric verification and measures to prevent unfair means.The health department was instructed to provide medical teams and ambulances at every examination centre.All departments were told to coordinate closely and ensure examination duties are performed with full diligence and professionalism.
