Jaipur: After a gap of nearly four months, direct flight services between Jaipur and Dubai are set to resume this month. SpiceJet will restart its daily Jaipur-Dubai service from July 20.The route was suspended following the West Asia crisis. For passengers travelling from Jaipur, Dubai serves as a major transit hub for onward connections to several international destinations.SpiceJet flight SG-5157 will depart Jaipur International Airport daily at 1.45 pm and arrive in Dubai at 3.45 pm. The return flight, SG-5158, will leave Dubai at 7.35 am and reach Jaipur at 12.45 pm.Meanwhile, Air India Express resumed its direct Jaipur-Dubai service Wednesday after a nearly four-month suspension. Flight IX-143 departs Jaipur at 6.45 pm and lands in Dubai at 9 pm, while the return flight, IX-144, leaves Dubai at 9.55 pm and arrives in Jaipur at 3 am the following day. The service will operate five days a week — Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.“Suspension of flights on this route made travel to the UAE significantly more expensive for people from Rajasthan working there, as well as for Indian residents and tourists based in the UAE. Passengers had to travel via Delhi, Mumbai or other cities, increasing both travel time and costs. The restoration of direct flights from Jaipur will provide major relief,” an airport source said.
