Gurgaon: Two BYOB clubs in the city faced police action after a patrolling team found them playing loud music beyond permissible hours without permission.Residents flagged violations at some locations, after which teams were dispatched to inspect suspected locations. During checks, led by ACP Badshapur Yashwant Yadav, violations were confirmed at two clubs, one in Sector 61 and another in Sector 58.At Don Jon BYOB & Lounge Club in Sector 61, the club operator, Rajat Gupta, failed to produce any valid permission or documents authorising the use of loud music during restricted hours.At Where Else BYOB & Lounge Club in Sector 58, club operator Anuj Mehndiratta was also unable to provide any licence or official approval for the activity.“We seized three music systems and four speakers from the two locations,” an officer said. Police added that cases were registered against both operators under relevant provisions of the Environment Protection Act, along with Section 152 of BNS.Officials said the matter will also be forwarded to the sub-divisional magistrate office for further proceedings. Police spokesperson ASI Sandeep Turan said, “Strict action will be taken against establishments flouting noise pollution norms,” and urged all businesses to comply with prescribed regulations.
