Gurgaon: A telecom infrastructure company, Gigatel Solutions, allegedly excavated a newly constructed road in Naharpur Kasan, Manesar, without obtaining permission from the Municipal Corporation Manesar (MCM), causing inconvenience to commuters and damage to public property.MCM Assistant Engineer Aman Kumar said that the issue came to light during a site inspection on Aug 6, following which he filed an FIR at the police station.According to the complaint, Preetpal, along with others, allegedly dug up the road on behalf of Gigatel Solutions. It alleged that the unauthorised digging caused financial losses to the civic body, as the road was recently constructed under the directions of the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) and the National Green Tribunal (NGT).Investigating Officer Head Constable Vikas said, “The company had to lay some underground cables or wires but did not obtain a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the civic authorities. After inspecting the spot, we have registered the case.”Police registered a case under Section 3 (mischief causing damage to public property) of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property (PDPP) Act, 1984.
