Ghaziabad: An FIR has been registered against a woman for allegedly pointing a pistol at her father’s chest in Sahibabad after he refused to help with a car loan verification. In a police complaint, Hitesh Tomar said his daughter, Priyanka, eloped with a man from another caste around two and a half years ago and married him. Around 5 pm on Sept 8, she suddenly came to his house in Vrindavan Garden Colony with a friend and asked him to verify the address for her car loan application. When Hitesh refused, Priyanka allegedly abused him and also got into a scuffle with her sister-in-law, who had intervened. As neighbours gathered following the commotion, Priyanka left the house, but returned after 25 minutes with her friend, broke open the main gate and allegedly pointed a pistol at her father’s chest. When the sister-in-law came to his rescue, the accused allegedly brandished the pistol at her as well, forcing both to flee to the first floor. The incident, which was captured on a CCTV camera installed at the house, shows the woman waving the pistol.Sahibabad ACP Amit Saxena said Priyanka had given her father’s address for the loan verification, as her documents still carried her old address. “Priyanka’s phone number is switched off, and she is absconding at the moment. Police are also checking the involvement of her friend as well,” he said.Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered against Priyanka and her friend under BNS sections 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 351(3) (criminal intimidation), 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 131 (assault or criminal force otherwise than on grave provocation) and 324(4) (causing intentional property damage or loss) at Sahibabad police station. Teams have been formed to nab the accused, Saxena said.
