‘The scheme aims to bring first-time entrants into the organised workforce, offering eligible employees incentives of up to Rs 15,000,’ EPFO officials said
Kolkata: EPFO Kolkata highlighted the Centre’s push to link job creation with social security under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PM-VBRY). At a Delhi programme last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed Rs 2,400 crore in incentives to 15 lakh beneficiaries nationwide. Under PM-VBRY, first-time employees and their employers can receive financial incentives from the Centre. EPFO officials, including Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner (Kolkata) B Lalzamang, said the scheme aims to bring first-time entrants into the organised workforce, offering eligible employees incentives of up to Rs 15,000.
