Hyderabad: Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka called upon Congress workers to ensure that govt welfare and development schemes reach every village and household. He said that farmers benefit the most under the Congress govt through the schemes such as Rythu Bharosa, minimum support price, and a Rs 500 bonus per quintal for paddy.Speaking at the Khammam DCC new executive committee swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, Bhatti said it is the responsibility of party workers to take development and welfare schemes to every household. He alleged that BRS leaders are spreading false propaganda against the Congress govt as they do not want farmers to benefit. He congratulated all those who worked for the party and said that Khammam remains a stronghold of the Congress.He urged the newly elected members to work in accordance with the core principles of the Congress while upholding the equality and rights enshrined in the Constitution of India. He reiterated that the Congress govt is working for farmers’ welfare and accused BRS leaders of conspiring and spreading misinformation for political gains.He said the state govt has sanctioned 3,500 houses per constituency, totalling 4.5 lakh houses across the state, with an allocation of Rs 22,500 crore. He claimed that no other state in the country has implemented such a large-scale housing scheme. He alleged that opposition parties are spreading negativity out of fear that the empowerment of the poor will weaken their political existence.
