Advitya.BahlNoida: An electrician died after sustaining serious injuries while working on a scissor lift at an under-construction building in Sector 67 in the Phase-III police station area, officials said on Monday.Co-workers present at the site immediately informed the person overseeing the construction work, after which Saurabh Kamat was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, due to serious injuries to his head and other parts of the body, Kamat succumbed during treatment shortly after being admitted, police said.According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday evening when Kamat, a native of Madhubani district in Bihar, was working on the lift installed at the building. The lift suddenly started moving upwards while Kamat was inside it. As the lift allegedly moved without the button being pressed, he suffered injuries.After receiving information about the incident, local police reached the hospital and initiated legal formalities. The body was sent for an autopsy and later handed over to the family. Kamat was living in rented accommodation in Garhi Chaukhandi village while working in Noida.Officials said the deceased’s family has not yet submitted a written complaint in connection with the incident. Police added that further action will be taken if a complaint is filed.Upon learning about the accident, Kamat’s family travelled from Bihar to Noida. Police are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.
