Pune: Two siblings, aged 58 and 60, were killed after a pick-up truck hit their two-wheeler in Pargaon near Daund on Tuesday evening. They were returning home after visiting their grandson, who’d been injured earlier in an accident when the tragedy struck, Pune Rural police said.The deceased were identified as Subhadra Shitole (60) and Mohan Takawane (58), both residents of Pargaon’s Takawane Vasti.“Around 4pm, when they neared their home, a pick-up truck hit their motorcycle. Both sufferd severe injuries in the accident,” the officer said.They were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead, he said. The police have registered a case of causing death by negligence against the pick-up truck driver, he added.
