An unusual protest was staged at Mahananda Colony under ward 41 of Durgapur Municipal Corporation over alleged corruption in land ownership certificate (patta) distribution. On Saturday, instead of throwing eggs at Sukumar Chakraborty, aide of ex-TMC councillor Shipul Saha, they forced him to eat an omelette while demanding accountability.
