New Delhi: Delhi University has formally initiated the process for the 2026-27 Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections by constituting the election panel and appointing key officials to oversee the conduct of the polls.According to a notification issued by the university, vice-chancellor Yogesh Singh, in his capacity as patron of DUSU under Chapter IV, Clause 16(i) of DUSU constitution, has appointed Prof Raj Kishore Sharma of department of chemistry chief election officer and Prof Rajesh Singh, university librarian, chief returning officer.The vice-chancellor has also appointed the principals of colleges and heads of institutions affiliated to DUSU as election officers to conduct the election of office-bearers and members of the central council in their respective colleges and institutions for the 2026-27 academic session.The appointments mark the formal commencement of the university’s election process, with a detailed poll schedule expected to be announced separately.
