Dotasra unveils martyr Harlal Kaler’s statue in Churu

Jhunjhunu: Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee president Govind Singh Dotasra and MLA Pusaram Godara Wednesday unveiled a life-size statue of martyr Harlal Kaler at Daudasar village in Ratangarh tehsil of Churu district.Addressing the ceremony as chief guest, Dotasra said soldiers were the true guardians of the country’s borders and that the nation remained safe because of their supreme sacrifice. He said the full cost of installing martyrs’ statues and organising such events should be borne by the Centre and state governments, adding that if Congress formed the government, such works would be undertaken by the government.Dotasra also attacked the BJP govts at the Centre and in Rajasthan, accusing them of working against the Constitution and democratic values. He said municipal body and Panchayati Raj elections were moving towards being held only after judicial intervention. He urged Congress workers to mobilise for the upcoming elections, “hoist the Congress flag” and give the present govt a democratic response with public support.Presiding over the programme, MLA Pusaram Godara paid tribute to Harlal Kaler and other martyrs, saying citizens were able to live safely because of the sacrifice and dedication of the country’s soldiers.Dotasra, Congress district president and MLA Manoj Meghwal, MLA Narendra Budania, former MLA Krishna Poonia, MLA Pusaram Godara and other guests honoured Harlal Kaler’s father Daluram Kaler, mother Vimla Devi, Veerangana Shravani Devi and other martyr families with shawls and mementos, describing their sacrifice for the nation as an invaluable heritage.MLA Narendra Budania, MLA Manoj Meghwal, MLA Anil Sharma, former MLA Kamla Kaswa, Haji Makbool Mandelia and former MLA Krishna Poonia also addressed the gathering.
