Gorakhpur: BJP MP and actor Ravi Kishan on Saturday took his first class as a Professor of Practice at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, urging students to maintain discipline, sincerity and regular attendance.Addressing students of Fine Arts, Ravi Kishan began the session by interacting with them and learning about their backgrounds. Speaking in his trademark Bhojpuri style, he told students that indiscipline and misbehaviour would not be tolerated in his class and insisted that everyone attend regularly with pen and paper to take notes.He promised engaging sessions that would go beyond textbooks, including physical exercises, music appreciation, painting-related lessons and practical assignments. “My classes will be unique. I am strict and will teach strictly. If you want to achieve something meaningful, come to my class,” he told students.During the interaction, students asked questions about acting, art, career growth and success.Encouraging students to believe in their abilities, he said Gorakhpur’s youth possess immense talent and assured them of support in reaching national and international platforms.The university has appointed three Professors of Practice this session. While Ravi Kishan will mentor students in the departments of Fine Arts and Music, industrialists Atul Saraf and Chandra Prakash Agrawal have been selected for the Commerce Department.
