Bicholim: A damaged electricity box on the footpath outside Shri Shantadurga High School, Bicholim, has raised safety concerns for students and pedestrians. The heavy metal structure is fractured at the base and has detached from its concrete foundation, leaving it dangerously tilted towards the walkway.Ram Shirgaonkar, a local, said the location is particularly risky as the footpath is regularly used by students, parents and pedestrians. He warned that a sudden fall could cause serious injuries and may also create an electrical hazard.Residents have expressed concern over the lack of immediate action and urged the municipal authorities and the electricity department to inspect the site immediately. They have demanded that the area be secured without delay, and the damaged box be replaced at the earliest.
