As part of the outreach, the office of PCDA (Southern Command), Pune, has opened a new SPARSH service centre at the Guards, Kamptee in Nagpur. The centre was inaugurated by Controller General of DAD Alka Nangia Arora on Oct 27. The initiative aims to improve pension services and make digital life certificate submission more accessible, particularly for elderly and digitally less-literate pensioners. However, some military veterans pointed out that these SPARSH centres need to function properly because often the officials inform us that the system is crashed or slow. Also, there has to be a proper mechanism to avoid waiting at these centres.
