Lucknow: To mark 50 years of the dairy development department on Wednesday, a one-day district-level dairy conclave-2026 will be organised jointly by the dairy development department and the animal husbandry department and broadcast in all 75 districts of the state.The conclave is aimed at informing beneficiaries about various welfare schemes run by the dairy development department and animal husbandry, increase awareness about modern technologies and scientific animal husbandry management in the dairy sector and ensure effective implementation of departmental schemes.Milk commissioner Dhanlakshmi K said that the conclave will be broadcast live. At the district level, the programmes will be attended by public representatives, senior officials, representatives of milk unions, dairy farmers, livestock owners, self-help groups, milk committees and other stakeholders.“During the programme, experts will provide technical and practical information on the dairy sector. The conclave will feature special presentations on various topics, including modern dairy management, formal dairy processing, fodder management and identification, prevention, monitoring, control, and vaccination of animal diseases along with information on departmental schemes,” the official said.Senior scientists and subject experts from Krishi Vigyan Kendras and agricultural universities will also share their experiences at the event.
