Bhilwara: The Special Court for SC/ST cases at Tonk Monday cancelled the bail of Naresh Meena, the main accused in the Samarawata violence case linked to the Deoli Assembly bypoll, and issued an arrest warrant against him for allegedly violating the conditions of bail granted by the Rajasthan High Court. The order was passed by Special Judge Aarti Maheshwari in connection with an FIR registered at Nagarfort police station. The prosecution had moved an application seeking cancellation of Meena’s bail, alleging non-compliance with the conditions imposed by the high court.Special Public Prosecutor Ramavtar Soni said the court accepted the application and cancelled the bail on the ground that Meena had violated the bail conditions.Meena was granted bail by the Rajasthan High Court on July 11, 2025, and released from Tonk jail on July 14, 2025.Responding to the order, Meena said he respected the court’s decision and would pursue the legal remedies available after receiving a copy of the order. He alleged that police treated his visit to meet the families of children who died in the Jhalawar school accident as a violation of his bail conditions and claimed the decision was influenced by political pressure. He also accused the BJP govt of targeting him for raising issues concerning farmers, labourers and the poor.
