Dhubri: The owner of a lottery counter located in Dhurbi was detained on the charge of selling fake tickets.Acting on a tip-off, police raided the lottery counter and seized all the tickets, register books and other files from the counter.A police source said they had inputs that the counter was selling fake West Bengal govt lottery tickets along with some genuine tickets.Police detained the accused and questioned him. However, no evidence has been found against him yet. However, police said the investigation was ongoing and they are confident of unearthing the fake-ticket network.Dhubri police station (Sadar) Pritam Das said the accused was released on personal bond on Sunday.
