CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Congress leaders on Wednesday met TVK president Vijay at the party headquarters in Chennai and extended support to the party to form the government in the state following a hung Assembly verdict. The delegation included Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K Selvaperunthagai, Congress Legislature Party leader S Rajesh Kumar, AICC functionary Praveen Chakravarty, and Congress MLAs. Selvaperunthagai, who had earlier criticised Vijay and opposed any alliance with TVK, was also part of the meeting as the Congress Legislature Party and the TNCC backed the move to support TVK in staking claim to form the government.
