Bicholim: Newly appointed Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president, Girish Chodankar, on Monday said his party will win a majority of seats at the forthcoming assembly election“There is anger against BJP govt. People desire change. We will get a simple majority,” Chodankar told reporters after visiting the Shri Dev Rudreshwar Temple at Harvalem.The party will give tickets only to those who are loyal to it, he said, and added that Congress will take up core issues affecting the state.Aldona MLA Carlos Ferreira, who accompanied Chodankar, alleged that Goa is under the influence of middlemen, with corruption and scams rampant across the administration.He said people are increasingly unhappy because money appears to have become the primary consideration in governance. “BJP govt has failed to meet people’s expectations,” he added.
