Lucknow: Lucknow Connection Worldwide (LCWW) on Monday organised a support programme for school-going children from families affected by the recent Vikas Nagar fire, distributing educational essentials at Jai Hind Park. Around 30 students, most from Career Convent School in Vikas Nagar, received school shoes, socks, notebooks and pens to help them continue their studies after the incident disrupted their households.Programme coordinator Sanjay Srivastava said the initiative marked the second phase of LCWW’s assistance campaign for affected families. He added that the organisation conducted a ground assessment to map immediate needs before planning the distribution drive and would continue support as required.LCWW founder Sunil Mishra, visiting Lucknow for the second time in 10 days, praised volunteers for sustained efforts. He said disaster response typically progresses through rescue, relief and rehabilitation, requiring coordination between govt, voluntary organisations and civil society. Mishra said LCWW consulted families and identified urgent requirements before extending aid.
