Guwahati: Tezpur University and Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH), Tezpur, recently signed an MoU to support academic excellence, research cooperation, and capacity building in mental health, education, and related disciplines.The MoU was signed at the LGBRIMH premises. From Tezpur University, registrar (i/c) Prof. Chandan Goswami and from LGBRIMH deputy director Dr. Hemanta Dutta signed the agreement.The MoU sets out a framework for joint initiatives such as training and mentoring research scholars, faculty and resource persons’ exchanges, collaborative research projects, internships and field exposure programmes, and the introduction of certificate and value-added courses.“Both institutions expressed their commitment to working together in areas of mutual interest and leveraging their respective strengths to contribute to knowledge generation, skill development, and improved mental health outcomes in the North Eastern region and beyond,” a statement read.
