Gorakhpur: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will chair a programme at Mahayogi Gorakhnath University on Wednesday to felicitate students and farmers as part of the ‘Viksit Bharat–Viksit Uttar Pradesh 2047’ programme.Natarajan Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons will be the chief guest and K Krithivasan, MD & CEO of Tata Consultancy Services, guest of honour of the event to be held at the university auditorium.During the programme, MoU will be signed between MGUG and Centre of Medical Innovation at Govt Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida. Those who will be felicitated include 13 students contributing to AI awareness initiatives and hackathon winners, along with five farmers trained under the ‘AI for Farmers’ programme.Established in Aug 2021 and inaugurated by former President Ram Nath Kovind, MGUG has rapidly evolved into a multidisciplinary university. Spread over 130 acres, it offers 43 programmes across eight faculties and integrates AI and data science into academics.With over 3,400 students and 500 faculty members, the university emphasises innovation, healthcare education, and community outreach, aligning with the broader goal of building a self-reliant and developed India by 2047.
