Jhunjhunu: Four people were injured in a clash between two groups that had come to file nominations for the municipal body elections in Fatehpur Shekhawati of Sikar district Monday, the last day for filing nominations.Police arrested four people for breach of peace. One of the seriously injured was referred to Sikar after receiving primary treatment at the Fatehpur Trauma Centre.Police said the clash broke out when candidates and their supporters came face to face after filing their nomination papers. The groups allegedly attacked each other with sticks, triggering chaos at the spot.Police reached the scene and took four people into custody. The injured are undergoing treatment.Fatehpur police station station house officer Mahendra Kumar Meena said Mohammad, Taseen, Mohammad Kaif and Sohil, all residents of Fatehpur, were arrested for breach of peace. Cases of assault have been registered against both groups.
