Gurgaon: A drive to round up stray cattle by the corporation turned violent after a team was allegedly pelted with stones by local rearers near Krishna Chowk in Palam Vihar on Tuesday. The vehicle transporting the cattle was also allegedly damaged with sticks.The team fled after the vehicle was stopped in the middle of the road. The attack was captured on a CCTV camera.According to sanitary inspector Aman, they had caught several cattle from Harinagar and nearby areas and were taking them in a vehicle to Carterpuri gaushala. Officials alleged that some of the cattle belonged to cattle rearers running illegal dairies.Palam Vihar police station registered a case under BNS sections concerning obstruction of govt work, vandalism, damage to govt property and attack on employees. They also arrested a 40-year-old man, Ashok, on Tuesday night.
