CBSE starts CTET registration for Sep exam
If the number of applicants increases significantly, the exam may be held on Sep 5 as well

Ahmedabad: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the online registration process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), a mandatory exam for candidates aspiring to become teachers in CBSE schools. According to the official notification, the 22nd edition of CTET will be conducted on Sep 6 across 132 cities in India in 27 languages.The online application process began on Monday and will continue until June 10. Candidates can also pay the exam fee within this period. After completing the application, applicants can make corrections to their forms. The correction window will remain open from June 15 to 18, after which no changes will be allowed.The admit cards for the exam will be released online on Sep 4, two days before the exam. The results are expected to be declared by the end of Oct.The CTET will consist of two papers. Paper 1 is for candidates who wish to teach Classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for those aiming to teach Classes 6 to 8. This year, CBSE has clarified that candidates will not be allowed to select their preferred exam city. Instead, the board will randomly allocate exam centres.CBSE has also stated that if the number of applicants increases significantly, the exam may be held on Sep 5 as well. In the previous session, over 26 lakh candidates registered, prompting the board to hold the exam over two days.
