Hyderabad: Cybercrime police of Hyderabad registered a suo motu case against a Facebook user, Ramakrishna Modumpuram, for allegedly posting abusive and defamatory remarks against Hyderabad police commissioner VC Sajjanar after the officer recently met CM A Revanth Reddy following his promotion to director general rank.According to the complaint lodged by a constable, N Srikanth Naik, working at the cybercrime PS, Ramakrishna had put up an objectionable facebook post on April 25 targeting the commissioner of police and making false allegations while using abusive language.Police said the post referred to the senior police officer in derogatory terms and also made unverified allegations. Based on the complaint, a case was registered under Section 67 of the IT Act and Sections 353(1)(c) (statements conducing to public mischeif) and 352 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
