Rewari: An 87-year-old retired Armyman was killed and 11 others were injured when a private bus carrying around 30 passengers veered off the road and crashed into a tree in Haryana’s Rewari district on Wednesday morning.The accident occurred on the Kosli-Toomna road near Bhurthala. Preliminary reports indicate the driver lost control of the vehicle after one of its wheels sank into a concrete road slab. Police identified the victim as Deep Chand, a resident of Baldhan village. He was on his way to the CSD canteen in Kosli to purchase daily essentials. Sources said the bus was operating off its designated route. While its approved route was Rewari-Kosli via Naya Gaon and Lula Ahir, the driver had allegedly diverted via Bhurthala, where the crash occurred.
